How was your weekend?

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. My Hubby and I took a short vacation over the weekend. And we packed a lot of sightseeing into 2 days! First we flew to Denver and then to Farmington, New Mexico. On the first leg we flew on a large airliner, the second leg was on this plane.

Twin propeller over the Rockies?????

Hmm, I'm not to sure about this!!!

Oh my!!!! That's the back of BIG jet I see

in the cockpit window. I was very happy we took off from another

runway!!!!

It's a long way down there!

Surprise, I enjoyed this leg more than the first leg! Almost no turbulence and it was clear the whole time. Amazing scenery, you could see pockets of bright yellow where the aspens have changed colors. Just beautiful.

I was however grateful that I had not seen the runways in Farmington until the after we took off for our trip home. The Farmington airport sets on top a large Mesa and the runways begin and end at the edges of the Mesa.

I'll be sharing some pictures this week of some of the places we visited. It's amazing how much you can fit into a weekend.

Company

I think my new camera and I have finaly made peace. I just let it do it's thing on "auto", it appears to be a lot smarter than me.

Tonight, while I was outside taking pictures of some of my new pieces, I was BUZZED by this little girl. I believe she is an Anna Hummingbird. Looks like my new camera got a pretty nice picture of her. Do you see that blue sugar water? Well, My Hubby likes to change up the color of the sugar water every now and then. There has been a lot of activity around the feeder in the last few week. I'm pretty sure our little visitors are enjoying the fuchsia in full bloom behind the feeder.

More Copper and Lone Pine Necklace

Still lovin the copper!
I finished these Montana agate and copper bracelets this weekend, just love the way the copper sets off the color in Montana agate. I cut the bezel strip, back plate and bracelet by hand from copper left from home projects.

Lone Pine Picture Jasper Necklace

I just had to have this jasper cabochon! It reminds me of the landscape after a forest fire, that one tree that has survived. That one tree that provides home and shelter for some of the critters that also survived. Standing tall, providing hope for the future.

Treasures from Texas

Sadly, My Hubby had to make a quick trip back to his home state of Texas to attend his grandmother's funeral. She was an amazing woman of 93 and is very much missed by her family. The up side of the trip was that he was able to visit with his grandfather (94), aunt, uncle and lots of cousins. He also made of few side trips to some "Rock Shops", this Azurite in matrix is one of the goodies he brought back home. Love the colors in this stone!!!
