Just For Me

When I purchased this stone last month, I hadn't intended for it to become mine. But, after it was set there was no way I could let it go.

Sadly, my camera is unable capture the colors and depth of the Graveyard Point agate.

So...IT'S MINE, ALL MINE!!!!

Spring Things

We've been enjoying spring here in the Pacific NorthWest with a few road trips. Here a just a few pictures of our adventures.
A sunny yellow lichen covered wall in the Columbia River Gorge.

Our Spring Break took us to Central Oregon for 3 fun days. This is Fort Rock out
of Bend, Oregon. I had a wonderful time hiking the trails and taking in the vistas.
We also stopped in Prineville, Oregon to eat at our favorite 50's dinner and of course I had to walk around the courthouse.....a favorite of mine.

On our way to hunt for Oregon sunstones out side of Plush, Oregon. It was a beautiful 60 degree day!
On a sunny Sunday in January we took a quick trip to the Oregon Coast for a dinner of Dunengess Crab and to gaze upon the Pacific Ocean. Even though is was sunny, the wind was blowing so we skipped the beach walk and opted to count whale spouts on the horizon. And yes we did see a few.
Little Miss C playing peekaboo with her Daddy. Who could resist that smile?

A Few New Things

Before you get to see pictures of what I've been up to, here is "she who rules the house" soaking up some sun this morning. She is wearing one of her latest coats made by her "grandma". Today we have had sunshine, rain, hail, rain, snow, rain..... I wonder what I'll wake up to tomorrow morning.

Columbia River Gorge Road Trip!!!!

Last Saturday Hubby and I decided it was time to get out of Portland for the day. We were tired of the rain and Oregon gray we have been enjoying for the last few weeks. So we sent Trixie to our son's for the day to play with Meeka, loaded the car up with some junk food :) and off we went to explore the Gorge. We take this trip several times a year and always find something or someplace new to explore. This time was no different.

Mitchell Point
Looking west toward Portland.
Downtown Hood River, Oregon. We spent several hours exploring the little shops and had lunch at 6th St Bistro. Yumm!
We had miles to drive so we did not take the tour at Full Sail Brewery. Maybe next time!
Memaloose Island

Vicor Trevitt's grave marker on Memaloos Island.
Lily ???
Looking east from the Memaloose Lookout. I see BLUE sky!!
We decided to drive home on the Washington side of the gorge. Just look at what we would have missed if we hadn't crossed the river in The Dalles, Oregon.
Exotic Deer
and my favorite
American Bison!!!!
Fine end to our trip.
Sunshine and Bison.
