Weekend Trip and Family

We had a great weekend in Eastern Oregon!!! Sunshine, a little rain and this scary fog/heavy snow on your way home over Mt. Hood. You could barely see the center line!!! Good thing it was late and very little traffic.

Now, for the fun stuff! We stopped in Warm Springs and went through the museum, something we have been wanting to do for a long time. Very nice museum, and since they were closing at noon it was free! We did make a donation, we feel very strongly about keeping local museums open.

This is the front door of a store in Prineville, Oregon. I want it on my house!!!!

I had been asked to set up a booth at this Festival in Bend last month. Unfortunately, I had to decline. Thirty day was just not enough time to fabricate enough pieces when you work full time. Maybe next time.

Now to the Family!!! Last month it was Uncle Shorty's birthday, this month is Aunt Naomi's birthday. So off to Prineville we went for a family visit and great southern food. And Uncle Shorty had finished my antelope painting!!! Paint me HAPPY!!!! This painting is now hanging in my studio. Love it!! Thanks Uncle Shorty!!!!

Just look at all that great food!! Ribs, Beans, Corn on the Cobb, Potato Salad, Strawberries!

And what would a southern meal be with out sweet tea? Is there a better way to spend an evening? Good food and family ?

Project Finished, Priced and Tagged

Woo Hoo!!! My project is finished, priced and tagged !!!!! Two weeks ago I was invited to place some of my jewelry in a local shop. The shop is Cowgirl at Heart in the Sellwood area just south of Portland. So after working hard and dog sitting our grand dog for over a week, I managed to get 20 pieces put together. All have been photoed, priced, tagged and hung on displays. With any luck they will be in the shop tomorrow afternoon!! Here are three pieces that will be for sale at Cowgirl at Heart. All are turquoise and sterling silver. http://www.cowgirlatheart.net/

2008 Road Trip

I was looking through my photo tonight and thought I'd share these of The Mission of the Sacred Heart outside of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. If you get a chance to visit Coeur d'Alene's Old Mission State Park, take it! Truly amazing building, just wish it had been a sunny day when we visited.
