I just knew this was the spot!!!

When we saw this sign we just had to stop at this lapidary shop, and boy am I glad we did. The owner was fantastic!! He took the time to explain where the stones I choose came from and even showed me some web sites where I could read more about one of the stone I purchased. If you get the chance to visit Lewiston, ID, please take the time to stop by Chuck's shop you won't be disappointed!!! Golden Arts, 1127 Snake River Ave, Lewiston, ID. I know we'll be back!!!

Some of the criters we came across on our road trip

Wild Turkeys at Whitman Misson in Walla Walla, WA

Beautiful Yellow Butterfly at Jubilee Lake, OR

Large Mule Deer buck still in velvet at Wallowa Lake near Joseph, OR

Another buck behind his thistle privacy screen.

Feral kitten at Old Chief Joseph grave site near Joseph, OR

Bob the Bobcat from McCall Idaho, his owner said he was friendly and I could get out of the truck and pet him. I declined!!!! Bob is a very BIG cat and I smelled like little dog.

Lastly, the renown author Norm the Bird with one of his owners. Norm produces the annual family letter about the travels of his owners and himself. A labor intense job since he types with his beak. Norm has loged many miles with his owners over the past decade. Family and friends wait anxiously each year for his letter.

Trixie's first long road trip

We took our annual road trip this year through eastern Oregon, Washington and parts of Idaho. We had great weather and saw many fun new sites! I'll be posting pictures of some of the animals we saw later. This year Trixie went with us for the first time. I thought you might enjoy seeing the few things she explored. Of course her favorite was my lap! What Trixie did best on the road trip, sleeping in Mom's lap.

Ready for bed!!!!!

Checking out the old wagon road at Whitman Mission with Dad.
