Weekend Trip and Family

We had a great weekend in Eastern Oregon!!! Sunshine, a little rain and this scary fog/heavy snow on your way home over Mt. Hood. You could barely see the center line!!! Good thing it was late and very little traffic.

Now, for the fun stuff! We stopped in Warm Springs and went through the museum, something we have been wanting to do for a long time. Very nice museum, and since they were closing at noon it was free! We did make a donation, we feel very strongly about keeping local museums open.

This is the front door of a store in Prineville, Oregon. I want it on my house!!!!

I had been asked to set up a booth at this Festival in Bend last month. Unfortunately, I had to decline. Thirty day was just not enough time to fabricate enough pieces when you work full time. Maybe next time.

Now to the Family!!! Last month it was Uncle Shorty's birthday, this month is Aunt Naomi's birthday. So off to Prineville we went for a family visit and great southern food. And Uncle Shorty had finished my antelope painting!!! Paint me HAPPY!!!! This painting is now hanging in my studio. Love it!! Thanks Uncle Shorty!!!!

Just look at all that great food!! Ribs, Beans, Corn on the Cobb, Potato Salad, Strawberries!

And what would a southern meal be with out sweet tea? Is there a better way to spend an evening? Good food and family ?

  3. Debbie, I was thinking about you as we wondered around Bend and Prineville last weekend. We'll have to check out River Rim next time were in Bend. I know well be heading that way for the Madras rock show around the 4th of July.
Sandi, the food was yummy!!! Aunt Naomi is a fantastic cook and time with family is priceless! Debbie, I's sure you've enjoyed the view point above Prineville many times, but Sandi I wish you could enjoy it! In March I stood there for 30min just enjoying the view. Snow, valley, mountains and of course the Court House. This time no snow but everything was still green, amazing view. I'm excited to visit in July, my guess, greens, golds and a very blue sky. I think I'm living in the wrong part of Oregon.
