Mending My Heart

Today, I decided is time for my heart to start healing! No more weeping!!!! Starting today I will be thankful for the 50 years we had together!!! Special thank you to your brother Steve and my son who made it possible to tell you how much I loved you one more time. A friendship of 50 years is something to cherish! Nan, I miss you, but starting today I will remember all the good things we shared! Ok, maybe one cry while I write this post.

    Thank you ladies! It seems strange not to be able to pick up the phone and talk to her. She never gave up her fight against cancer, never once did we talk about the end. We both knew it would happen, but we always talked about what was happening the next day. In the last 4 1/2 yrs thanks to new drugs she was able to see her daughter get married, and welcome 2 new grandchildren. Thanks again, Evie

    Evie, I can't believe I missed this post...I am so sorry for your loss. My beloved hubby is battling cancer and it is so hard to watch him suffer thru this miserable disease; we can only take it one day at a time. It sounds like you had a wonderful relationship with Nan and remembering those good times will help ease the heartache.
