We had a very busy weekend!!

Last weekend My Hubby's favorite great uncle turned 88 years old and along with other family members we made the trip to Prineville, Oregon to help him celebrate. Happy Birthday Uncle Shorty!!!! We Love You!!! We had a wonderful time and thanks for sharing your home with all of us!

Even though is was Uncle Shorty's birthday I came home with this beautiful gift! Thanks !!! I also have another painting coming, "paint" me very happy!! Uncle Shorty is a self taught artist, working in oils. He paints mostly landscapes from his childhood in New Mexico/Texas area, and of course lots of wildlife.

This is what the weather was like on our way to Prineville, snow and wind. Coming home we had lighter snow and very little wind. A much nicer trip!

And of course what's a birthday with out lots of home cooked food? Chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans with hamhock, salad and ice tea. Mmm Mmmm southern food!! Thanks to Aunt Naomi no one went hungry! And of course there was a large chocolate birthday cake. We were all stuffed!

Here are a few pieces I managed to finish last week.
Jasper Necklaces

Freshwater Pearl and Feather Necklace

Biggs Jasper Necklace

I hope everyone had as much fun last weekend as we did!

  1. Evie, it must have been a joy to go over to Prineville and celebrate with the family such a special occasion.

Uncle Shorty's work looks awesome. Some of my most cherished art pieces come from my Hubby's great Aunt. Esp. the one she painted for our Wedding Gift.

    Love your new work.

Hope you are staying warm and out of that snow. :) T.
